Forgiveness
Forgiveness and letting go is very important to your health on all levels. So I have provide
the following exercises to aid you in this process and if you need any help with these or if you have any questions please
contact me @ remotere@remotereikihealing.com.
Forgiveness does not mean that what the other person did was right or wrong, it simply means that you let
it go and release the negative effect it has had on you.
For example:
We have all been mad at someone before,
a family member, friend, co-worker, etc… Now, does holding onto that anger you have toward them really affect them
at all? Very rarely is the answer “Yes”.
You hold on to this anger for hours, days, weeks, months and in
most cases years. All it is doing is hurting you. All illnesses, discomfort and dis-ease are caused from holding on to negative
feelings and energy.
Also, forgiveness of yourself is even more important. We have all said to ourselves, “I
can’t believe I let this happen” and sometimes we add “again” to the end of that sentence.
First
exercise:
Write a list of the first few people that pop into your head when you ask yourself the question, “Who do I
need to forgive?”, including yourself if that is what pops in.
Now, say the following 3 times for each person on the list:
“(name)
I forgive you for not being the person I needed or wanted you to be!”
What this does is tells the Universe and more
importantly your subconscious that you are willing to try to forgive this person. You may not know how to forgive them, but
don’t worry, once you make this statement the Universe will bring you the “how”.
Second exercise:
After making your statement of forgiveness,
the next step is to start the process of letting go.
Now for each person on your list, say the following ten times with a deep breathe between each time
you state it:
“I let go of the part
of me that feels irritated when I think of you.”
You may have different feelings come up as you do this. There may be aches and pains or just some
really intense emotions. It is important to just let these go, don’t fight them or push them back down.
If you are having a hard time letting them
go, then I suggest that you either do the grounding exercise I have on this site or try “container therapy” which
I will provide below!
If things are really tough or something’s have surfaced that you cannot handle alone, Please contact me so we can
work through them.
If you would rather not try this alone, please make an appointment with me and we can do this together, as I have
many other tools and energy work that can aid in making this a more smooth healing process.
Container
therapy:
This is a very simple but
powerful way to move out emotions that come to the surface that you are ready to let go.
As the emotions come up, image a container about two feet
out in front of your chest. This container can be any shape you are comfortable with, circle, heart, football, etc…
This container is limitless, it can never get full.
Now, imagine a cone shaped cloud coming out of your heart chakra and filling that container. Allow
this flow to continue until you feel that you have release all of those unwanted and painful emotions.
Once complete, send that container to the Sun
and watch it burn up. Once it has burned up and has transmuted the negative to positive, feel the positive coming back to
you and filling your entire being with it.
You will need to do the above exercises more then once as we have layers and each layer holds different issues.
As you remove one layer, the next layer will surface, etc…
Well, I hope this has provided you with some wonderful tools to aid you in the healing process!
Fell free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
Love & light,
